Terms of Service

Draft public notice for Wheres consumer OAuth. Product and legal approval is required before production use.

Using Wheres

Wheres helps people discover nearby events and participate in the event community. Do not misuse the service, attempt to access another person’s account, or post content that is unlawful, unsafe, or infringes someone else’s rights.

Sign-in providers

You may choose Google or X to sign in. For this purpose we receive the identity information, email address, and profile information that the provider shares after your authorization. We do not store Google or X provider access tokens.

Accounts, sessions, and content

We maintain account and session information to provide the service. When you use community features, we process the profile details, comments, replies, photos, likes, attendance, and event submissions you choose to provide. Community content may be moderated or removed to protect people and the service.

Availability and changes

The service may change as it develops. We may suspend or limit access where necessary for security, moderation, legal compliance, or reliable operation.

Retention, deletion, and contact

We retain account, session, and user content only for as long as needed to provide the service, operate moderation and security controls, and meet applicable obligations. A production retention schedule, account-deletion process, and support contact must be approved before production launch; this draft does not invent an operator address or legal entity.
